  • Organic Gluten Free Oats

We source our organic and gluten free oats from the business in Cambridgeshire which we know very well, as Anita use to work there as a Technical Manager, so we have full trust in them and their products.

Oats are naturally gluten free, however in current legislation they have to be declared as cereals containing gluten due to potential of other grains cross-contaminating them during farming. Our oats are farmed specially to prevent those contamination routes and every batch is laboratory tested to levels below 5ppm’s of gluten (current standard for gluten free declaration is 20ppm), so you can be certain that they wont cause reactions to your pet who suffer with gluten allergy.

Oats are a fantastic source of carbohydrates and are also very rich in proteins and dietary fibre. Dogs good balanced diet shout be based on 50% of grains per day, thus the reason we use organic gluten free oats as a base for all our biscuits.

    Organic Fresh & Powdered Carrots

We love fresh organic carrots as they are sweet and crunchy. Toby loves them and always knows when carrots are around. There is a saying “One carrot a day takes tartar away” so fresh carrots are great as a low-fat snack to keep your pooches mouth fresh and clean.

We use organic fresh carrots in our biscuits as they are a great source of beta-carotene and Vit A.

Beta-Carotene is the name that comes from the Greek “beta” and Latin “carota” (carrot). It is the yellow/orange/red pigment that gives vegetables and fruits their rich colours and it’s an antioxidant and a precursor to Vitamin A.

Vitamins support many critical roles in your dog’s diet and are essential for growth and health maintenance. Carrots are rich in Vitamin A, providing a host of nutritional benefits to your dog.  Beyond supporting eye health, it also assists in supporting a thriving immune system and healthy skin and coat.

Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin, so it can build up in the body and become toxic, however the Vitamin A toxicity cases are not very common in the UK. As a responsible owner we have to be careful to not over-do it with any item that contains Vitamin A.

    Organic Ground Cassia Cinnamon

Organic Ground Cassia Cinnamon is perhaps the most popular type of cinnamon. This spice makes our treats smell amazing, but not only that, cinnamon has great antimicrobial properties, helping us with product stability.

Cinnamon in dogs help to maintain a healthy weight and can help with arthritis relief as per its anti-inflammatory properties.

You will find cinnamon in our apple pie and pumpkin spice treats.

    Organic Ground Ginger

Our organic dry ginger is 100% dry and powdered ginger root with no additives, salts or sugars.

The best-known benefit of Ginger’s function is as a digestive aid for upset stomach and nausea, but it’s far from the only one. Ginger is also helpful for more serious conditions like osteoarthritis and even cancer. That’s why a lot of holistic practitioners recommend use of ginger root in dogs diet.

Ginger can thin the blood, so avoid it if your dog’s on blood thinning medication, or will be undergoing surgery or going into labour. It may also lower blood sugar and blood pressure. Talk to your vet if your dog has diabetes or has any kind of heart condition.

You will find ground ginger in our pumpkin spice treats.

    Organic White Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are known as a superfood, and this doesn’t change when it comes to a dogs diet. They are a fantastic thing for your dog to have and carry many benefits.

They are a great source of Omega 3 fatty acids which contribute to a cardiac health in supporting and strengthening cells that make up the heart, and of course just as flaxseed they help with keeping your doggo’s coat shiny and healthy.

Chia seeds are also very rich in dietary fibre, helping with the digestion track and absorptions of nutrients into the system.

They are also very rich in calcium! Yes calcium! On average 100g of chia seeds will contain around 630mg of calcium. This contributes to a bone development and of course healthy bone maintenance.

Chia is a win if you ask us.
